Betty Black Sees 'Bad Weather' After a Sexy Encounter -- Song Premiere

Betty BlackTell All Your Friends PR
Singer Sylvia Gordon has been in this crazy game called music for a while now. After working with some of pop music's biggest acts -- the Black Eyed Peas, Moby and Kelis, just to name a few -- Gordon has made a name for herself as an expert of production and songwriting. Under the stage name Betty Black, she's readying her newest EP 'Bad Weather,' a dimly lit record of dance-floor mayhem and sexy sounds. Now you can get an exclusive listen of the album's title track.

"'Bad Weather' evokes the feeling of watching a woman about to lose her emotional innocence and balance when her heart reaches out only to get burned by uncontrollable lust," Gordon tells Spinner. "Even though she knows the relationship's doomed from the start -- and storm clouds are gathering -- the urges within tell her it's worth chasing for even a moment's chance to dance in the rain. That's the power of a sexy man!"

Lana Del Rey's 'A.K.A. Lizzy Grant' Album Getting Re-Released

Andy Sheppard, Redferns
This hour in Lana Del Rey news: The singer, who everyone who cares too much about music seems to have an opinion about, is going to re-release her debut album, 2010's 'Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant,' this summer.

Del Rey/Grant broke the news in an interview with the BBC, saying, "I had signed to an independent label but they couldn't fund the release of it. People act like it's so shrouded in mystery, the 'forgotten terrible album.' But if you look on YouTube, all 13 tracks are available with millions of views, so it's not like no-one's heard them. We were all proud of it. It's pretty good."

Adele Performs 'Turning Tables' on 'Live From the Artists Den' -- Video Premiere

Live From the Artists Den
There's a great, little-known artist named Adele, but oh man, can she sing. The burgeoning star will kick off the fourth season of 'Live from the Artists Den,' which premieres nationally on PBS beginning Feb. 3. The show pairs musicians with historic venues and broadcasts the resulting sets to audiences across the 50 states.

To whet your appetite for the season, Spinner is proud to present an exclusive clip of Adele performing 'Turning Tables' at the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club in California. "Nothing in life moves me as much as being on stage does," Adele said of the performance. "I love the closeness of playing in small rooms, and this room was lovely and simple, just beautiful."

Korn Frontman Experiments With Dubstep in the Making of 'Sanctuary' (VIDEO)

Roadrunner Records

After almost 20 years together, Korn are celebrating a creative high with 'The Path of Totality,' their recently released 10th studio album. The record features the California quintet collaborating with some of the leading dubstep and electronic producers in the world, including Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Noisia, Kill the Noise, and 12th Planet.

One of the more interesting tracks on 'The Path of Totality' is 'Sanctuary,' a collaboration between Korn and cutting edge DJ/producer Downlink: "He introduced us to a lot of ideas, equipment, items we don't normally work with. It was really cool. Our sound engineer, Jim Monti learned a lot from recording with Downlink, and Downlink learned a lot from Jim, so it was a great experience," Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis told Noisecreep about working with the Canadian DJ.

In this exclusive video, we get a behind-the-scenes look at Davis in a Manila, Philippines hotel room tracking the vocals for 'Sanctuary.'

Madonna Super Bowl Halftime Show to Feature M.I.A. and More?

Madonna, MIAFilmMagic| WireImage
With Madonna's Super Bowl halftime extravaganza just over a week away, rumours are swirling as to who will be joining her onstage Feb. 5 for the sports spectacle. LMFAO? Nicki Minaj? It seems the first performer to confirm is M.I.A.

"Sosz im not pulling out 'of' the superbowl thing," M.I.A. tweeted earlier this week. 'i pulled out the super thing'...like to get a free pizza, i say heyyyyyyyyyy super bowl!"

The singer -- who's set to drop her new 'Bad Girls' single and video next week -- also revealed she would be wearing "the tightest jeans" to rehearsal before taking a jab at Janet Jackson. "i asked madonna if she was gonna show her tits, she said naaa everyones seen em," she tweeted. "the sex book was crazy tho a sex tape before the time of sex tapes."

Cee-Lo Green is also expected to perform at the halftime special at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis (his official site has the date confirmed).

Clare FischerGetty Images
Clare Fisher, renowned jazz pianist, composer and arranger, has died at the age of 83, the BBC reports. Fisher had been on and off life support during the past month after going into cardiac arrest following complications from a minor surgery.

During his lengthy career, Fischer was nominated for 11 Grammy awards, the most recent in 2011 for his instrumental arrangement of 'In the Beginning.' The pianist also worked on many arrangements for the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, Chaka-Khan, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion and Robert Palmer.

James Mercer Says Shins-Decemberist Fake 'Portlandia' Band May Have a Future

James Mercer, Colin Meloy, Corin TuckerYouTube
It was the wildest fantasy of music nerds come to life.

James Mercer of the Shins, Colin Meloy of the Decemberists and Corin Tucker formerly of Sleater-Kinney got together recently to form a supergroup called Echo Echo. Unfortunately, the band, not to be confused with the Santa Ana, CA, indie rockers of the same name, didn't play any shows, or actually record any music together. Mostly they just sat around on a couch looking bored in a skit called "Deuce Hotel" for IFC indie comedy program 'Portlandia.'

Mercer says the idea of making music together never actually came up, even though the three were playing the parts of fictional band members.

"We never talked about it," he tells Spinner while doing press in advance of the Shins' fourth album, 'Port of Morrow,' set for release on March 20.

Doldrums Delights in 'Happy Accidents' That Won Him Portishead Approval

DoldrumsKate Struthers
When Doldrums' Airick Woodhead isn't making ephemeral, drummy collages of noise and video, he's at home in Montreal YouTubing James Brown videos. "There's this one of him giving dance instructions but he's really just high out of his mind," Woodhead, the former lead for Toronto-band Spiral Beach, tells Spinner. The Doldrums' sound -- spastic, otherworldly, and proudly textural, like on the Portishead-sanctioned remix of 'Chase the Tear' -- doesn't immediately recall such normal and inane activities, but Woodhead's an aural magpie who revels in the beauty of happy accidents.

In House With Dessa: The MC/Singer on Doomtree's 'No Kings,' Hip-Hop Homophobia and Not Being 'Feminem'

Damon Dahlen, AOL
In House is AOL Music's series in which we welcome artists into our offices to play some music, chat with our staffers and, generally, just hang out. For our latest visit, Spinner sat down with Minneapolis singer and rapper Dessa to discuss her career, her new album with Doomtree, 'No Kings,' and her views on homophobia and feminism in hip-hop.

"It's like a very steep incline on a snowy afternoon with a very strong headwind."

According to Dessa, that's how difficult it is to describe her sound -- a hyper-literate mixture of singing and rapping over both driving beats and a jazz-influenced live band -- to someone who's never heard her before.

"I get the skepticism," the 30-year-old Minneapolis-based artist tells Spinner about people who don't understand her genre-blending style, at least on paper. "A lot of this s--- doesn't sound so cool to talk about. I could spend all day trying to pitch it and I feel like a used car salesman. It just feels gross. I'll give you two of what I think are my best tracks, and then you'll feel it and then we've got our answer."

Rush Photographer and Juno-Winner Andrew MacNaughtan Dead at 47

Andrew MacNaughtan
Acclaimed rock photographer Andrew MacNaughtan -- who worked with several groups including Rush and Barenaked Ladies -- died earlier this week. He was 47. According to the Toronto Star, the photographer suffered a heart attack in California where he was on assignment photographing Rush.

"We're deeply shocked and heartbroken to learn of the sudden passing of our close friend and long-time photographer, Andrew MacNaughtan," the band said on their official site. "He was a very sweet person and a very talented artist. Words cannot describe how much he will be missed. – Geddy, Alex & Neil"

MacNaughtan's own site shows a photo with "Feb. 25 1964 – Jan. 24 2012" below it although some reports indicate he died Wednesday, Jan. 25. Meanwhile, tributes appeared on his Facebook page, including photos of MacNaughtan on location for a photo shoot with Celine Dion.

Nick Cannon Says His Body Can't Process Protein

Tommaso Boddi, WireImage
As reported by AOL Music, new mom Mariah Carey isn't the only one getting her body back into killer shape. Her husband Nick Cannon is determined to regain his former physique following his recent hospitalization for kidney failure and subsequent surgeries. However, the star on-the-mend admits he's struggling with the daunting task at hand.

Cannon has been making a big effort to get his health back on track, and has already adopted a strict renal diet, limiting fluids, protein, salt, potassium, phosphorous and electrolytes. Now, the music mogul and 'America's Got Talent' host is ready to hit the gym again and has finally gotten the go-ahead from his doctors.

Cannon took to his Twitter page to share his progress with his fans, writing, "My doctor said Today is the first day that I can work out again. I got to get back to fight weight! THE HULK is on his way back [sic]!"

Drake: President Obama Film Role Is What Rapper Wants

undefinedBarry Brecheisen, Getty Images
Drake's career aspirations began with an eagerness to act, a feat he accomplished by scoring a role in 'Degrassi: The Next Generation,' playing Jimmy Brooks. Now he's sharing his desire to serve as the best man to play President Obama in a movie.

During his time at Sundance Film Festival earlier this week, the 25-year-old 'Take Care' MC revealed that he can deliver a pretty spot-on impression of the U.S. Commander in Chief.

"I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama's life soon because I could play him," Drake told VH1. "That's the goal. I watch all the addresses. Anytime I see him on TV, I don't change the channel, I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I'm pretty good at impressions."

50 Cent: Floyd Mayweather's Son Gets Tattoos With MC?

undefinedCredit: Getty Images (2)
Between Rihanna's "thug life" tribute to Tupac Shakur, Chris Brown's elbow shrine for his new girlfriend and a Drake fan's impulsive forehead stamp, it seems that the year of controversial tattoos is carrying over into 2012. 50 Cent is the latest artist making headlines after tweeting a questionable image of boxer Floyd Mayweather's 13-year-old son, Koraun, with full arm tattoos of his name, a star and a money symbol.

While it seems like a joke, the famed boxer was quick to express his disappointment, citing the G-Unit head honcho for his reckless babysitting job and providing a photo -- check it out below -- of his inked offspring.

Chrissy Teigen, John Legend's Fiancee Shows Engagement Ring

Lester Cohen/AMA2011, WireImage
John Legend's model fiancée Chrissy Teigen recently showed off her flashy engagement ring, revealing that she was surprised by Legend's proposal, which took place while the couple was vacationing in the Maldives, but even more so by the rock.

"It's none of my doing at all," she said of the gem. "All I know is that it's a cushion cut, and I had never even heard of that before."

Though they have yet to set a date, Teigen went on to reveal that she is already dress hunting. The 26-year-old Sports Illustrated model, to whom Legend, six years her senior, proposed over the holidays, has apparently been perusing magazines, searching for couture gowns.

Wale, Fabolous, Meek Mill, Young Jeezy and T.I. deliver verses for the new song, of which the original is set to appear on the Young Money rhymer's sophomore album, 'Careless World: Rise of the Last King.'

With the same beat as the original, the rappers spit lyrics and a flow in tune with Tyga's style. Wale commences the track with "Who dat on the pole? It's you that on the pole... A penny for your thoughts and a 20 for your titties/ And a 100 for your smile, I'ma be here for awhile."

Diddy's Grammy Party: $50,000 Ticket Comes With 15 Women

Diddy
Diddy does everything in excess. From his music videos to his children's birthday parties, there's always shiny gold, lavish cars, beautiful women and fine bubbly surrounding him. As news comes that he's throwing a private affair following the 54th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, it's no surprise that a pass to the event cost a whopping $50,000 a piece. In his world, that's the price of a movie ticket.

The event, which will be held at the Playboy Mansion in L.A., is set to have a red carpet, celebrity honors, DJ awards, a live performance, cocktail reception, open bar and open buffet. While $50,000 is the highest ticket price, people with less cash flow can opt for the more affordable yet still hefty sum of $1,500. There's also a $15,000 and $25,000 option.

Jeff Kravitz/AMA2011, FilmMagic
Nicki Minaj and David Guetta put on a bass-pumping performance of their 'Turn Me On' collaboration at the 2011 AMAs. Now the duo is preparing to debut the visuals for the track, which officially drops on Jan. 31. To hold loyal supporters over until its release, they deliver a new teaser video.

In the clip, which is a quick 42 seconds, water is heard trickling as a damp and dark brick-lined cell is shown. A woman, most likely the Young Money rhymer, is decked out in a pair of designer shoes and saunters her way through the dimly lit space. As her footsteps echo, she drags an axe along the floor.

Rap Genius Lines of the Week From Scarface, Meek Mill, Freddie Gibbs

Rap Genius is supplying The BoomBox with the top lyrics of the week and serving a meaning behind the raps in the process. While the Drake and Common war of words may have reached a detente recently, Drizzy continues to inspire. His song 'The Motto' provided grist for not one, but two of our lines of the week, as Freddie Gibbs and Meek Mill both ate that beat up and spit it out. In other news, Bishop Lamont reveals his favorite kids' TV program, Scarface lands an odd-looking girlfriend and Jon Connor manages to suck up to his interviewers in a most entertaining fashion.

D'Angelo Performs First Show in Over a Decade on Stockholm Stage

undefinedFrank Micelotta, Getty Images
After much fanfare, reclusive singer D'Angelo has finally made his return to the stage, performing his first show in over a decade, in Stockholm, Sweden Thursday night (Jan. 26).

Rocking an all-black tank top and shawl ensemble, D'Angelo looked to be in good spirits as he engaged the crowd during the first stop of his "intimate" European comeback tour, opening with a raucous rendition of 'Chicken Grease' from his last album, 'Voodoo,' which was released back in 2000.

Despite the various legal and personal battles the troubled crooner has fought over the past decade, he appeared to be in classic form last night, rocking a selection of hits from his two albums, and even some new, unreleased songs from his long-delayed follow-up, 'James River,' which he is said to be close to completing, according to longtime collaborator Questlove of The Roots.

Kelly Rowland pops up on 'How Deep is Your Love,' the latest single from mohawk-sporting dancehall artist Sean Paul's forthcoming album, 'Tomahawk Technique.'

Much like the rest of the songs that have leaked from the album thus far, the Stargate-produced dance track, which was penned by Ester Dean, is unabashedly club-minded and synth-heavy.

Bob Dylan Honors Martin Scorsese by Growling Out 'Blind Willie McTell'

Kevin Winter/Getty Images
Bob Dylan honored director and fellow blues enthusiast Martin Scorsese with a performance last night at the Critics Choice Movie Awards. The movie maven was selected as the evening's Music + Film honoree.

Dylan took the stage to perform 'Blind Willie McTell' in a voice that sounded like melted gravel. The performance was a telling tribute to Scorsese, who's keen appreciation for music has been crystallized in musical documentaries like the Band's 'Last Waltz,' the Rolling Stones' 'Shine A Light,' Dylan's 'No Direction Home,' George Harrison's 'Living in the Material World' and the PBS series 'The Blues,' in which the song is included.

Dragonette, Deadmau5 and Sheepdogs Up For Canadian Radio Music Awards

'Hello,' the genre-bending hit single from Martin Solveig and Dragonette, is up in five categories at this year's Canadian Radio Music Awards. The awards – "celebrating first-time top charting Canadian artists" and now in its 15th year -- will be handed out during a gala luncheon at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel on March 23 as part of Canadian Music Week.

The song is in the CHR (contemporary hit category) and will go up against Deadmau5's 'Sofi Needs A Ladder' in the Dance/Urban/Rhythmic category. 'Hello' is also up for SOCAN Song of the Year alongside Simple Plan's 'Jet Lag' and Fefe Dobson's 'Stuttering' among others. "'HELLO' IS NOW OFFICIALLY PLATINUM IN THE U.S.," the group tweeted on Jan. 4. "Hellaplatinum! Hooray to the US and our 1million favorite Americans!"

Amy Winehouse's Father Considering Pay-Per-View Tribute Concert

Yui Mok, PA Photos
Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch, is reportedly working on a humdinger of a concert to honor his late daughter. The lineup promises to be so strong, the Sun reports, that he's hoping fans will "pay a few quid" to watch the show on television.

Lest anyone think he's shamelessly cashing in on Amy's memory, money from the pay-per-view gig would go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity the songstress' family started for troubled youngsters.

"Big artists will be booked from both sides of the Atlantic so people will want to see it," a source told the U.K. newspaper. "It will be a huge event."

Lana Del Rey on 'SNL': Cool? Nervous? As Bad as Juliette Lewis Thinks?

Peter Wafzig, Getty Images
No matter what Lana Del Rey did last night on 'Saturday Night Live,' she was bound to get people talking -- and critics typing. Since emerging last year with the viral video for her song 'Video Games,' the singer has divided the indie-rock community, striking some as an icy-cool purveyor of vintage style and modern ennui, others as a prefab pop princess posing as a more substantive artist.

Sure enough, Del Rey's 'SNL' performances -- 'Video Games' and 'Blue Jean,' both posted below -- have already sparked a flurry of Twitter commentaries. As Hollywood Reporter points out, actress and musician Juliette Lewis was among the first to slam the rising singer.

"Wow watching this 'singer' on SNL is like watching a 12 yearold [sic] in their bedroom when theyre pretending to sing and perform," Lewis reportedly tweeted, although the post seems to have been deleted.

Gerry Rafferty's Fiancee Seeks Portion of Late Singer's Estate

Stuart Mostyn, Redferns
When Gerry Rafferty, the Scottish singer and songwriter behind the hits 'Baker Street' and 'Stuck in the Middle With You,' died last year at the age of 63, he was engaged to marry a woman named Ezina Fuschini. Unfortunately, the Stealers Wheel founder had written his will before meeting her in 2008, and as a result, she received no part of his $1.9 million estate.

Now, the Daily Mail reports, Fuschini has launched a legal fight to get what she says is her fair share of the money. Invoking Britain's Inheritance Act of 1975, a statute that allows individuals who had been financially supported by deceased parties to seek "reasonable financial provision," Rafferty's former fiancee is appealing to Britain's High Court.

Following Rafferty's death in January 2011 -- the result of liver failure brought on by years of alcohol abuse -- his entire estate went to his daughter, Martha. Songwriting royalties, meanwhile, were put in a trust given to his granddaughter Celia.

Girls, Real Estate and King Krule in NYC: Hot Indie Sounds on a Cold Night

Cory Schwartz, Getty Images
Last night (Jan. 14), with the streets of New York City acting as high-powered, freezing wind tunnels, the discerning audience at a sold-out Terminal 5 hoped some of the hottest up-and-coming indie acts would thaw its hearts -- and its fingertips.

Having sold out the smaller New York venue Mercury Lounge on Wednesday, Archy Marshall, better known as King Krule, opened the show with a 30-minute set, mixing New Wave and dubstep. The 17-year-old flame-haired singer drew mostly from his eponymous EP and the earlier material he released under the name Zoo Kid. Marshall's voice makes quite an impression, suggesting Elvis Costello at his cheekiest and Tom Waits at his most sincere.

Madonna, Elton John: Golden Globes Beef Explodes on Red Carpet

Madonna won a Golden Globe award Sunday night (Jan. 15) for Best Original Song but it might be a while before Elton John is singing her praises.

The pop stars took pot shots at each other during a televised pre-show red carpet special on NBC with censors deleting John's comments. When asked by Carson Daly about the nominees in the category -- which included his song 'Hello Hello' from the, ahem, classic film 'Gnomeo and Juliet' -- John said, "Madonna hasn't got a f---ing chance."

A surprised Daly replied by saying, "Those are fighting words."

"No, those are accurate words," John said before the interview ended.

British rock icon Paul Weller and his wife Hannah Andrews announced the arrival of their twin boys John Paul and Bowie on Jan. 14.

"Both boys are healthy and doing well following the birth and Paul and Hannah are thrilled and over the moon," a post on Weller's site said today (Jan. 16). "Paul would like to thank his fans for all their well wishes over the last few months." The sentiments were also placed on Weller's Twitter account.

Lookout! Records, Punk Label That Launched Green Day and Ted Leo, Folding

Green DayGetty Images
Although the label that launched Green Day has yet to make it official, it appears that Lookout! Records is no more. According to a blog post by Ted Leo on Jan 13, and reported by Punknews.org, the label -- which officially stopped releasing new material in 2006 -- has "sadly, shuttered it's windows for good."

In a post titled "Lookout! Ist Kapuut," Leo replied to fans who inquired about why some of the artist's albums "disappeared from all the digital services."

"A better eulogy should be forthcoming, but just to answer these questions, this means that these records have reverted to my complete ownership, which is kind of cool in some ways, I guess, except that it also means I have to basically run my own label for them now unless I wind up licensing them to someone else in the future," Leo wrote.

"I'm not happy to see Lookout gone, but having complete rights of usage and total and direct revenue from sales now, can ultimately turn this into a positive situation."

Adele's Boyfriend Is Married, Has a 5-Year-Old Daughter

GF/bauergriffinonline.com
It's no secret that all of Adele's success has come after some pretty severe heartache. Both of her albums, '19' and '21,' were written in the aftermaths of bad breakups, and it seems her new boyfriend, Simon Konecki, has had his share of romantic troubles.

As U.K. tabloid the Daily Mail reports, Konecki, 37, married stylist Clary Fisher in 2004 and has a 5-year-old daughter with her. The couple separated in 2010 and are in the process of divorcing, sources told the paper.

Kate Bush Stalker Breaks Into Singer's Home With Intention of Proposing

Kate BushKateBush.com
Frank Tufaro isn't your average Kate Bush fan -- or your average stalker. According to the Daily Mail (via Brooklyn Vegan) the American music enthusiast has been obsessed with Bush since the height of her fame in the 1980s, and his love for the reclusive singer was reinvigorated with the release of her newest album '50 Words for Snow.'

No longer able to stifle his inner crazy, Tufaro purchased a $4,600 Tiffany diamond ring and booked a flight for London. Upon arriving, the Bush fan paid a cab almost $370 U.S. to drive him to a remote location in Devon, where Bush's home is. Tufaro used satellite images and local maps in order to pinpoint the million-dollar estate.

Tufaro knocked on the door, ready to propose to the singer, but no one appeared to be home. He then smashed a window and let himself in. "I was inside for about eight minutes before I realized I had to leave. I just walked around and looked at everything. It wasn't what I expected," Tufaro told the Daily Mail, adding that the whole situation "felt like a set-up."

Jimmy Castor, Funk Saxophonist Sampled by Numerous Rappers, Dead at 64

Gilles Petard, Redferns
Jimmy Castor, an acclaimed disco-funk saxophonist whose classic horn lines have been sampled by such hip-hop artists as Kanye West, N.W.A. and Eric B. and Rakim, died Monday, Jan. 16 in Las Vegas of unknown causes, Prefix reports. He was 64.

Born in New York City in 1947, Castor is best known for leading the disco-era group the Jimmy Castor Bunch, whose 'Troglodyte (Cave Man)' was a No. 4 R&B hit in 1972. Prior to forming that outfit, he played with numerous bands, and in the late '50s, he found his initial success as a singer, taking over for Frankie Lymon in the doo-wop group the Teenagers.

While 'Troglodyte' was his highest-charting single, another 1972 tune, 'It's Just Begun,' has perhaps proved his most enduring. The tune has been sampled by dozens of hip-hop artists, and in appears in the memorable breakdancing scene from the 1983 film 'Flashdance.'

Lana Del Rey on 'SNL': Brian Williams Bashes, Daniel Radcliffe Defends Her

Andy Sheppard, Redferns
Lana Del Rey is stirring up plenty of internet ire due to her tepid appearance on 'Saturday Night Live.' The singer even stirred up news anchor and NBC mainstay Brian Williams, who wrote in e-mail to Gawker that "Lana Del Rey had one of the worst outings in SNL history last night-- booked on the strength of her TWO SONG web EP." He went on to name her "the least-experienced musical guest in the show's history, for starters ... "

Art Brut frontman Eddie Argos was also not a fan. "Just watched SNL thats the Lana Del Rey you all like?" he tweeted. "I thought it was Kirsten Wiig doing one of her 'wacky' characters. You are all idiots."

However, not everybody with ears clamored for Del Rey to be shamed. The host of that night's 'SNL,' Daniel Radcliffe, came to her defense, saying, "It was unfortunate that people seemed to turn on her so quickly."

Headphone-Related Deaths Increasing in the US, Study Finds

Brendan Hoffman, Getty Images
According to a newly published study, the number of pedestrians in the United States who have been killed or severely injured while wearing headphones has apparently tripled in the last six years. We know what you're probably thinking: Maybe cars just need louder horns.

Perplexingly, more than half of these incidents involved pedestrians being run over by trains and "Two-thirds of the victims were males and under the age of 30." In response to this shocking inattentiveness, government officials reportedly suggested that dudes stop wearing their headphones as blindfolds.
